Bugged
 
Stephanie is one of ten featured writers on this brilliant new project. On July 1st Bugged are asking you to eavesdrop, wherever you are - on the train, in the pub, at the checkout. What you overhear becomes the starting point for your writing. See the website www.bugged.org.uk for details. The work will be published in an anthology later this year.

 

First Chance 

Working with Birmingham REP's youth theatre, First Chance, Stephanie is collaborating with director Hannah Phillips to create a piece of theatre exploring the issues surrounding homelessness. The work will culminate in a day of theatre and events at MAC (Midland Art Centre) on Sunday 26th June.

  

Tuned In with WOMEN AND THEATRE

Stephanie is working alongside Jenny Stephens, director, and Ternia Talbot from Women and Theatre. Together they are assisting students at two Birmingham secondary schools (St Albans and Priestly Smith) to write short radio plays. The six plays will be developed, rehearsed before finally being recorded at BBC Birmingham and aired on local radio in the spring. 

 

An Introduction to playwrighting with OUTSIDE CENTRE

In association with SCRIPT, Stephanie lead a day-long workshop playwrighting workshop for women playwrights with disabilities at the Newhampton Arts Centre, Wolverhampton. The aim of the day was to inspire new ideas for plays.


 

Theatre Works

Since 2001 Stephanie Dale  has been working alongside Ian Billings. Together they created Theatre Works. (See links page). The aim of the company was/is to take writing workshops and plays into schools and colleges. Since 2001 THEATRE WORKS has worked in over 2,000 schools in the UK and also has regular bookings in schools all over Germany and Cyprus.

 

Stephanie Dale has also run writing workshops for various organisations, such as Script, Women and Theatre and The Birmingham Book Festival. (For more information on these companies, please go to the links page).
